CenterStage Presents OUR TOWN|
by Thornton Wilder
Directed by Jeanie Balch and Hannah Richards
The Louisville Center for the Arts,
801 Grant Ave. Louisville, CO 80027.
Our Town revolves around the Gibbs and Webb families, residents of Grovers Corners, while presenting aspects of daily life, love, and loss throughout.
CenterStage's production of Our Town is traveling and immersive with historical Louisville as a backdrop for small town life. This show humanizes small town life and the characters within it.
This show will be performed at several locations during the course of the play with Act I at the Louisville Center for the Arts, Act II outdoors on The Louisville Historical Museum grounds and Act III in CenterStage's Black Box Theatre on Front Street with the actors performing in the space where usually audiences sit.
For Saturday or Sunday shows add a picnic dinner by purchasing a ticket plus a $10.00 sandwich and chips supplied by the popular Moxie Bread Co of Louisville! Menu choices will be emailed to you to choose from a selection of 3 options or you can include your preference at checkout (at least one vegetarian). No Gluten free options are available, but audience members are welcome to bring their own picnic dinner, if desired. (The option to order a sandwich will close on the Thursday prior to that weekend of shows.)
A break for enjoying your meal will occur between Acts I and II on the Louisville Historical museum grounds.
NOTE TO POTENTIAL AUDIENCE MEMBERS:
OUR TOWN is a partially outdoor experience which includes approximately 10 blocks of walking along city streets from the initial starting location of the Louisville Center of the Arts to the Louisville Historical Museum grounds to the CenterStage Black Box Theatre. At the end of the production audience members may need to walk a distance to their car (depending on where they initially parked). At the Louisville Historical Museum the performance will be outdoors and there is no conventional seating, although audience members may be able to sit on non-traditional seating areas such as benches or blankets. There will be a short section of the performance where the audience will be expected to stand. Audience members are encouraged to bring water, sunscreen, hats, comfortable walking shoes and weather appropriate clothing. In case of inclement weather, Acts I and II will be held at the Louisville Center for the Arts with the option to travel to the CenterStage Black Box Theatre for Act III (weather permitting). Audience members assume responsibility and risk for walking and/or driving to each location of OUR TOWN.
While the experience is not physically strenuous, please purchase tickets with these details in mind. Your ticket purchase indicates that you understand and are responsible for informing all members of your party with the information above.
